Cashiers & stock clerks are essential to the smooth operation of our mini-mart. They play a crucial role in providing excellent service and ensuring accurate transactions for our valued customers. We are actively seeking individuals who are responsible, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • 1 - 2 Years of experience working as a cashier or in a similar capacity.
  • High school diploma or CSEC passes in English & Math.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets & MS Word.
  • Available to work in shift systems, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate stock placement and organization.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs at times.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly customer service demeanor.

Responsibilities

  1. Scan items, accept payment, give change, provide receipts and bag purchases.

  2. Receive merchandise from suppliers and ensure they are unpacked with meticulous attention to detail.

  3. Check items at the cash register for any damage or discrepancies in type, size, quantity, or price.

  4. Keep shelves and coolers fully stocked, organized, and visually appealing.

  5. Ensure all products are properly placed on shelves, facing forward, and sorted according to the first-in, first-out method.

  6. Assist with scheduled stock checks, including the annual general stock check, as required.

  7. Follow proper safety procedures when handling and storing hazardous or perishable items.

  8. Assist in training and mentoring new cashiers to ensure consistent performance and adherence to procedures.
