Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ industry experience required either in the corporate environment, third party service provider or as a consultant
  • Three years’ recent supervisory experience
  • 5 years’ related facility maintenance experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Experience in Project Coordination and Project Management, budgeting and project scoping will be an asset
  • Electrical, Technical and Mechanical experience strongly preferred
  • After hours, on call availability and some Saturday work will be required
  • Report to the Facilities Manager

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage technical staff daily operations; consisting of corrective and preventative maintenance for critical building systems, automation controls and valves directly relating to HVAC, electrical, piping/plumbing systems
  • Review events’ notes, and take a leadership role in the setup and breakdown of chairs, tables, pipes and drapes, rubber mats and carpets, giveaways; working with the Events department in setting up and converting exhibit halls, conference rooms and banquet rooms as necessary for events
  • Examine systems information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs
  • Prepare requisition for materials and supplies, such as equipment, replacement parts
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate general maintenance, major repairs, and remodeling or construction projects for properties
  • Coordinate and oversee operations, maintenance, administration, and improvement of properties
  • Maintain records of maintenance, operating costs, and special permits issued
  • Determine and certify the eligibility of prospective vendors
  • Oversee the repairs or replacements of equipment and systems; all facilities maintenance as required
  • Manage the facility operations, through both direct employees and third-party service providers, to ensure that all KPI and SLA are met or exceeded
  • Inspect buildings, sites and equipment for needed repair and maintenance work
  • Provide project management assistance to the Facilities Manager on large-scale capital renovation projects
  • Any other duties assigned that support the achievement of departmental/organizational goals
