The Accounts Clerk supports the daily operations of the Accounts Department by performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. A successful Accounts Clerk will ensure that the company's daily accounting functions are carried out accurately and effectively.
Passes of no less than five (5) CSEC (general proficiency level) subjects including English, Mathematics and Accounts. Must be computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software packages including Quick Books. Completion of CAT level 1 will be advantegous.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required as well as a responsible, calm and confidential attitude.
A minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in an Accounting Department.
- Accurately post data on income and expenditure.
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting records.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database/accounting software.
- File documents.
- Update records and prepare summaries.
