Description

Our client is seeking to hire a Lead Jetty Man, which the successful candidate will be responsible for the following undertaking along must possess the following work and academic qualification.

Requirements

  • Assure the highest level of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) awareness and practices at all times:
  • Conduct at least weekly toolbox meetings and monthly HSSE meetings at Rome terminal / GYSBI Fuel Farm
  • Implement recommendations for remedial action plans in HSSE activities related to bunkering operations (this can be as a result of, but not limited to, UAUC, inspections, customer complaints, workplace observations, etc.).
  • Ensure all employees and contractors are aware of evacuation procedures and emergency procedures.
  • Enforce the requirement for all individuals to wear any personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Report all work related incidents to OM or GM immediately and assist with incident investigation and take corrective action as required.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure procurement and adequate stock of maintenance goods and services for bunkering operations.
  • Effectively manage the receipt of petroleum products at Rome terminal and GYSBI fuel farm and to ensure compliance with Group’s Standards and ISGOTT Manual:
  • Mange the stock inventory
  • Safely conduct fuel receipt as per replenishment schedule and Sol standards
  • Prepare and submit outturn reports for fuel receipt to relevant parties within 24 hours
  • Investigate all variances of fuel receipt above the tolerence level and request approval from OM
  • Receipt PO’s for fuel in GP
  • Effectively manage the bunkering operations of petroleum products at Rome and GYSBI jetties and to ensure compliance with Group’s Standards and ISGOTT Manual:
  • Manage the vessel schedule at the Rome and GYSBI jetties
  • Arrange / assign contractors for bunkering operations
  • Review bunkering logs and report findings to OM
  • Assist with resolving customers complains relating to bunkering activities
  • Review and approve payment to contractor for bunkering activities
  • Ensure bunkering procedure is followed by all relevant parties at all times
  • Liaise with bunkering customers on any issues and concerns with regards to bunkering operations and schedules.
  • Scheduling of bunkering vessels for the Rome and GYSBI terminals
  • Conduct plant inspections at least once a week to effectively manage Bunkering Equipment in a safe and cost effective manner.
  • Be familiar with legal requirements and standards and ensure contractors are operating within these requirements.
  • Undertake risk assessments, self-audits, inspections and workplace observations within work areas and report all findings and corrective actions to OM.
  • Highlight, recommend & arrange training requirements of contractors.
  • Ensure critical operating procedures are documented and reviewed with relevant staff.
  • Ensure all contractors are aware of and are operating according to the company’s standards and procedures
  • Participate in the performance reviews of contractors.
  • Determine minimum safety requirements for customer delivery in conjunction with sales and in compliance with Group Operations Procedures.
  • Proactively manage overtime for contractors
  • UAUC / Near Miss reporting of 8 per year.
  • Conduct at least 10 workplace observations per year.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Projects and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Supervising teams and individuals.
  • A practical operator with a proven ability to get things done on time and on budget.
  • Numerate with the ability to analyze data such as reviewing supplier and contractor quotations and stock intake/out take reconciliations and anomalies as they occur.
  • Able to self-plan motivate and deliver results.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and an attitude to work well with others in teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships with the proven ability to supervise people.
  • Good negotiation and interpersonal skill.
  • HSE and Emergency Codes compliance.
  • ISPS certification by the Guyana Government would be an asset.
  • Possess the ability and initiative to meet deadlines.
