The Chief Optometrist will lead the clinical operations of Courts Optical, consistent with Courts Optical processes and standards and those of the local Optical Board. He/she will ensure adherence and drive clinical standards and ensure excellence in patient care. He/she will be proficient in the use of optical diagnostic devices.
Requirements
·BSc/Accredited certifications in Optometry or Ophthalmology
·At least five (5) years’ clinical experience
·Minimum 3 years in a supervisory capacity, leading team of Optomologists
·Registered with the Guyana Medical Board and in good standing
·Numerate and computer literate
·Advanced interpersonal skills
·Excellent written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities
·Develops, implements and audits clinical standards for Courts Optical to ensure compliance with the company standards and the standards of the local Optical Board and ensure effectives health care is provided to patients
·Schedules, monitors, develops and manages Optometrists (including full and approved part-time Optometrists), their capability and the prioritization and allocation of their clinical work respectively to ensure staff engagement and effective operation of Courts Optical
·Diagnoses, manages and treats conditions and diseases of the human eye and visual systems to ensure effective service and quality optical care are provided to patients
·Resolves customer concerns and queries in a manner that will ensure customer engagement.
·Achieve core key performance metrics that will ensure the sustainability and continued accelerated growth of the Courts Optical business
