Description

The Security Supervisor is a player/coach role that requires a mix of technical and supervisory skills to ensure ‘Nobody Gets Hurt’. The role includes providing support to applicable functions, meeting deliverables, responding to management requests, identifying staffing needs and facilitating various committees. In this position you will manage all SSH&E processes for EEPGL Georgetown sites, security operations, and ensure compliance with corporate security requirements. The position will assist with all aspects of site Loss Prevention Program (LPS) and assist Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) owners with the development and implementation of SSH&E policies, procedures, and technical guidelines. Knowledge of the local community is an asset.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in the Security field, policing, criminology or business administration, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 8-10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas security, law enforcement, security, or the military that includes exposure to staff supervision, security program administration, crime prevention and/or crisis management
  • Experience in supervision and personnel administration
  • Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel
    and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to manage short deadlines and operate independently
  • Proven oral, written and active listening skills including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with senior Company executives and to represent the Company to outside agencies
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work under pressure in emergency situations
  • Proven good judgement and sound decision-making skills in a work environment
  • Highly effective organizational, time management and analytical skills
  • Project management skills

Functional Skills:

  • Intelligence and analysis, executive protection, global security operations, technical security and engineering, risk assessment and management, site security operations, emergency preparedness and responses
  • Familiarity with security program management
  • Well versed with security legislation, policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of security systems and technologies
  • Broad knowledge of asset management and protection
  • Broad knowledge of criminal investigation, criminal intelligence/national intelligence
  • Broad knowledge of crisis/disaster management planning, risk
    appreciation/identification and reduction

Responsibilities

  • Leads implementation of security processes and programs for operating assets and projects or for internal Global Security processes
  • Leads security aspects or Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) assessments, security risk assessments, Quality Assurance Security Review (QASR) or other security processes for area of operations
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to other Global Security personnel and or Site Security
  • Communicates complex security issues (e.g., threats, program changes) within area of operations
  • Maintains strong liaison with an extensive network of internal and external security
    (and related) contacts
  • Sets safety culture and oversees the safety of all direct reports
  • Explains and promotes the team and company vision; sets clear and measurable objectives; engages, motivates and empowers team members
  • Demonstrates and rewards courage of conviction, creativity and adaptability in improving business results and shares learnings from success and failure
  • Promotes collaboration and teamwork and creates a work environment where different perspectives are valued
  • Manages conflict effectively
