Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

  • Sampling and testing of concrete specimens, concrete inputs adhering to all applicable industry standards and procedures.
  • Conducts concrete mix trials and tests as part of R&D and routine tests of concrete admixtures.
  • To build a measure of Quality Assurance in all products manufactured and sold by the Company.
  • To effectively install and calibrate Admixture dispensers in our customer’s Concrete plants
  • to set up and install and maintain admixture storage tanks on the customers concrete plants.

 

Requirements

  1. At least five (5) Ordinary Levels (including Mathematics and English), and or relevant technical certification from COSTAAT/equivalent recognized institution, or at least one (1) year of experience in a Quality Control or Testing Laboratory with specific experience in product testing, use of weighing and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

BUSINESS RESULTS

  1. Trial Mixes on concrete and cementitious products
  2. Test of Concrete, and Block samples
  3. Sieve Analysis and Aggregate testing
  4. Update QC records and Test Reports
  5. Follow-up Customer Complaints.
  6. QC testing for all grouts when required
  7. Performance testing of concrete admixtures
  8. Prepare Test Certificates for Customers
  9. Prepare invoice information for billing
  10. Assist in the Chemical Lab when necessary
  11. Research and Development tasks as assigned
  12. The Calibration and installation of the admixture dispensers
  13. Trouble shooting issues related with the dispensers
  14. Cleaning of admix storage tanks

INTERNAL OPERATIONS

 

  1. Assist in third party testing of products for external customers.
  2. Assists in investigating customer complaints and updates relevant reports on a timely basis.
  3. Adheres to all safety procedures in the operation of test equipment and in the handling of hazardous materials and products while maintains good housekeeping of work areas.
  4. Ensure that all equipment used in testing are continuously maintained and calibrated as required.

TEAMWORK

 

  1. Works as a part of a cross-functional Services and Quality team to guarantee the delivery of excellent service at all times.
  2. Co-operates with Production staff, co-workers, new and other staff for the overall betterment of  the company, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to implement change positively.
  3. Reports to work punctually and on a regular basis as required, contributing to the development of a positive competitive spirit and a results driven culture.
  4. Works closely with the Concrete Technologist and Laboratory Supervisor in making sound recommendations to control and reduce expenditure and improve efficiency and operational systems to increase profitability.

 

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE

 

  1. Provides quality service to all internal and external customers- telephone, walk-in, delivery, Internet and resolves/directs queries in a courteous and professional manner in line with Company’s standards.

 

OTHER

 

  1. Ensures that company achieves its QMS goals in order to maintain accuracy and precision of all test results and customer satisfaction in provision of laboratory services and products.
  2. Provides vacation relief/assistance as needed and performs any other work-related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Remuneration

Base salary:- 150,000.00

Travel : -15,000.00
