SUMMARY OF JOB: The Block Plant Technician A is responsible for the efficient operation of the Block Plant, monitoring Safety, Quality and Performance metrics to ensure reliable and consistent operation in order to achieve desired results in aligned with Corporate Objectives.

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years in a similar position.

• Related undergraduate degree

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Ensure the manufacture of quality products by ensuring adherence to defined quality management standards and procedures to achieve quality targets.

• Ensure that the Production, Material Usage and Downtime Reports are accurately completed and submitted at the end of the shift. Ensure a proper handover is done at the end of shift including the handover of relevant documentation.

• Ensure the safe installation/removal of molds, making machine adjustments as required using standard maintenance and engineering procedures, and following documented procedures where applicable, to produce blocks according to specifications.

• Assist the Mold fitter in the assembly and repairs of molds. Molds should have 100% availability and maintain 100% quality.

• Operate mobile equipment i.e. Forklifts and Front-End Loaders safely and efficiently to ensure that production is not interrupted and targets are achieved.

• Perform other related duties as required and assigned by your Supervisor.

• Promote safety awareness and the development of a safety culture within the company. Participate in Training and Development activities as required from time to time.

• Participate in the development and implementation of, and perform all duties in accordance with procedures as per ISO 9001:2000 standards, the Company’s Limited Quality Manual and OSHA.

 • Compliance with Company Group Policies.
