Description

To manage all areas of the department, which includes, human resource management, payroll and benefits, general administration, health, safety and environment in a manner that will foster greater efficiency and high employee morale and commitment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a HR Management position
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in change management
  • Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills
  • Excellent training and facilitation skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace environment

Responsibilities

  • Management of all activities associated with human resources from organization entry to exit, such as, recruitment & selection, orientation, training & development, compensation & benefits, employee relations, performance appraisal, career planning and development, succession planning, disciplining, motivation strategies and retirement
  • Manage attrition and ensure people programs are developed around lowering rates and retaining high-performing employees
  • Responsible for the implementation of the Performance Management System. Train and facilitate performance improvement plans with departmental managers.
  • Identification of training needs in conjunction with Department Leaders and co-ordination of training programmes
  • Monitoring compliance with all applicable labour laws and develop policies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environment standards, practices and applicable legislation and develop policies where needed
  • Conduct salary and labour market research to define benchmarks
  • Manage insurance and compensation benefits for all employees
  • Assess employees’ needs by conducting organizational employee engagement surveys
  • Prepare job descriptions, job analysis, job evaluations and job classifications
  • Create, review, and issue letters (job, termination and benefits, disciplinary, offer letters) in alignment with labour laws and client needs
  • Provide advice and support to all departments with regard to employee issues
  • Management of the payroll process and all related activities
  • Management of all general administration activities, such as cleaning services, household supplies, and stationery supplies
