The Accounts Officer is responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate financial and record-keeping operations. This role involves processing transactions, reconciling accounts, maintaining records, and assisting with financial reporting.
· Completion of CAT (Pursing ACCA Level 2)
· 3+ years of accounting experience.
· Knowledge of Accounting Software
· Good understanding of accounting and finance principles and procedures.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite primarily Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Good organizational and time management skills
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Record daily financial transactions in accounting software or ledgers (e.g., invoices, receipts, payments).
· Assist in the preparation and processing of; Accounts payable and receivable, Payroll OT entries, Expense claims
· Reconcile bank statements and financial records.
· Maintain up-to-date and accurate accounting files and documentation.
· Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments balances.
· Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management review.
· Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and reports as requested.
· File and archive financial documents according to company policy.
· Maintain confidentiality of financial and personnel information at all times.
