The Bartender/ Waiter is responsible for Handling customers at the bar, clearing and setting tables, serving food, handling cash and credit card charges, serving alcohol, stocking and cleaning the bar, and coordinating customers’ requests.
This includes being attentive, reliable and customer-oriented with experience taking orders and interacting with customers in a restaurant environment.
Experience: Previous experience as a Bartender/ Waiter or in a similar role is preferred.
Multitasking: Must perform various tasks simultaneously, being able to deal with many customers.
Attention to Detail: Ability to demonstrate adaptability to quick changes.
Time Management: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and work in a restaurant environment.
· Customer Service:
o Interact with customers
o Handle beverage orders directly from customers and inform customers of any specials.
o Should be friendly, tactful and attentive.
o Builds positive, professional relationships with customers.
· Preparing Beverages and Serving Customers:
o Knowledge of the general wine, beer, and alcoholic beverages the bar serves
o Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages with quality and great presentation.
o Keeping the bar area clean, including washing glassware, utensils, and bar tools
o Maintains displays of liquor and glasses daily.
o Taking beverage orders from customers and serving drinks as requested
o Maintain industry food safety standards.
· Teamwork and Communication:
o Collaborate with other staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
o Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
