Cashier

Subby’s is seeking a friendly, energetic, and reliable Cashier to provide excellent customer service and support daily restaurant operations. The Cashier will be responsible for handling customer transactions accurately, assisting customers with orders, maintaining a clean front counter area, and supporting the team with food preparation tasks when needed.

The ideal candidate must be customer-focused, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and willing to assist in different areas of the restaurant.

Shift System Bi-Weekly: 9AM-5PM & 2PM-10PM

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is an asset.

• Friendly personality with strong communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic math and cash-handling skills.

• Ability to work well within a team.

• Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Customer Service

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive customer experience.

• Assist customers with menu questions, orders, and special requests.

• Handle customer concerns politely and professionally.

Cash Handling & Sales

• Accurately process cash, card, and electronic payments.

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently.

• Ensure orders are entered correctly and completed accurately.

• Maintain accuracy when handling cash and balancing registers.

Food Preparation Support

• Assist with building and preparing subs and other menu items when required.

• Ensure food is prepared according to company standards and hygiene requirements.

• Support kitchen and front-line staff during busy periods.

Stocking & Cleanliness

• Pack out and restock beverage chillers and display areas.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter and dining area.

• Ensure supplies such as cups, napkins, sauces, and packaging materials are fully stocked.

• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.

Team Support

• Work closely with team members to maintain smooth restaurant operations.

• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.

• Support overall restaurant efficiency during peak hours.
