A detail-oriented professional responsible for leading complex auditing processes, verifying financial transactions for compliance with internal policies and government regulations, and providing guidance to junior staff. It involves identifying discrepancies, mitigating financial risks, and recommending process improvements to reduce financial loss/risks and enhance overall financial performance.
Five (5) subjects CXC, including Maths and English.
Completed (CAT) Certified Accounting Technician Examination.
Minimum three (3) years of related working experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with audit experience in a Munufacturing and Sales environment.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
Must be detail-oriented with effective communication and teamwork skills.
Audit Execution: Conduct periodic and ongoing scheduled and unscheduled audits of records, documents, assets, processes and systems to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures within the company and including all extending locations/branches.
Stock Taking & Reconciliation: Conduct monthly, end of year and or periodic stock counts of raw materials, in-process product and Finished products and undertake reconciliation with the company’s accounting software (SAP).
Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of financial data, including review of invoices, vouchers statements and all other related accounting documents to verify accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports and working papers that clearly outline findings, variances/discrepancies, and comments from head of audit areas and make recommendations for management.
Internal Control Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of existing internal controls and recommend improvements to strengthen systems and processes to mitigate risks.
Supervision: Provide training and guidance to junior clerks, ensuring their work meets required standards.
Compliance: Ensure all activities align with regulatory standards, industry practices, and all company policies.
