A Cargo Rigger is responsible for preparing, securing, and moving heavy loads on offshore platforms, vessels, and rigs. They ensure safe lifting operations using rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, and cranes, while following strict offshore safety standards.
· Must possess a valid OPITO Rigger Certification (Level 3)
· Must have a minimum of 4years experience
· Offshore experience a must and worked on FPSO.
· Appropriate attitude, aptitude, physical capability and training
· Physically fit and free from any disability that might prevent them from working safely at height
· Responsible for the safe lifting, moving, and positioning of heavy equipment and materials using rigging gear.
· Set up and inspect rigging equipment (slings, chains, hooks, etc.)
· Attach loads securely and guide lifting operations
· Communicate with crane operators and signal movements
· Ensure all lifting activities follow safety procedures
· Perform routine checks and maintenance of rigging gear
