Recover Guyana is seeking a passionate and community-driven Community Relations Officer to support outreach and engagement across its national initiatives.
The Community Relations Officer will support efforts to build community capacity and enhance access to educational materials through digital transformation. The role also contributes to basic digital marketing and public relations efforts, supporting awareness, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement across communities.
5 CSEC subjects or Diploma
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Interest in community development, digital learning, and media engagement
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; familiarity with social media tools is an asset)
Ability to work in teams and engage diverse communities
Support community outreach and engagement activities across project sites
Assist in building community capacity through trainings, awareness sessions, and stakeholder engagement
Support the delivery and promotion of digital educational materials and tools
Assist with digital marketing efforts, including basic content creation, social media updates, and online engagement
Support public relations activities, including capturing stories, testimonials, and community impact highlights
Coordinate with schools and communities to improve access to learning resources
Assist with event logistics, trainings, and field activities
Gather feedback and insights from beneficiaries to improve programme delivery
Support documentation of activities through photos, reports, and digital content
Represent the organization in a professional and community-focused manner
