We are seeking a skilled and creative Bartender / Mixologist to deliver an exceptional beverage experience aligned with fine dining standards. This role is responsible for crafting high-quality cocktails, developing innovative drinks using local ingredients, maintaining deep knowledge of classic cocktails and wines, and supporting bar operations through inventory management, training, and service excellence.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a bartender or mixologist in a fine dining or upscale bar environment

Key Responsibilities
Cocktail Creation & Beverage Execution
• Prepare and serve beverages to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation
• Develop innovative cocktail recipes incorporating seasonal and local ingredients
• Maintain thorough knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, techniques, and modern mixology trends
• Ensure proper garnishing, glassware, and service techniques consistent with fine dining standards
Wine & Beverage Knowledge
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of wines, including varietals, regions, and pairing principles
• Provide recommendations to guests in collaboration with the service team
• Support wine service standards, including proper pouring and presentation
Bar Operations & Service
• Manage daily bar setup, cleanliness, and organization
• Ensure efficient service while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
• Monitor bar stock levels and ensure all equipment is maintained
Inventory & Cost Control
• Maintain accurate bar inventory and create inventory lists for ordering and stock control
• Assist with cost management, minimizing waste, and tracking beverage usage
• Ensure proper storage and handling of all beverages and ingredients
Training & Leadership
• Train, mentor, and support bartenders and bar assistants on recipes, service standards, and techniques
• Assist in developing bar SOPs and training materials
• Lead by example in maintaining service quality and professionalism
Collaboration
• Work closely with the Front of House Manager, kitchen team, and service staff to ensure seamless guest experience
• Contribute ideas for beverage menus, promotions, and seasonal offerings
• Participate in menu tastings and pre-service briefings

At the time, Yonnick had just returned to Guyana after living in the United States, while Javid was deeply involved in running Altitude his family’s business.
