Description

The Clearance Clerk is responsible for coordinating and processing all documentation and procedures related to the importation and clearance of vehicles. This includes liaising with customs authorities, port officials, shipping agents, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate vehicle clearance in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of customs procedures, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Requirements

·         Minimum of CXC / High School Diploma.

·         1+ years of experience in customs clearance, logistics, or import operations preferred.

·         Understanding of customs regulations and import procedures.

·         Familiarity with different wharf operations and shipping documentation.

·         Strong attention to detail.

·         Ability to work under terms and conditions to meet deadlines.

·         Good communication skills (written and verbal).

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Strong problem-solving skills.

·         Possess a driver’s license with at least 1 year driving experience (category, MC, MV)

·         Age range between 25-35 years.

Responsibilities

·         Gather all documents are processed and submit customs entry preparation.

·         Coordinate with customs and port officials for vehicle clearance.

·         Maintain accurate records of all clearance documents.

·         Provide updates to management on clearance status.

·         Address and resolve clearance delays or documentation issues.

·         Familiarity with registering vehicles at the license office.
