The Cashier / Stock Clerk is responsible for handling customer transactions efficiently and providing excellent customer service. During periods when cashier duties are not required, the employee will perform stock clerk duties, including stocking shelves, organizing inventory, checking expiration dates, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store.
Math and POS system knowledge
Good communication and customer service skills
Honest, dependable, and detail-oriented
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Physically capable of lifting and moving stock items when necessary
Previous retail, cashier, or stocking experience is an advantage
Secondary school education preferred
Cashier Duties
Greet and assist customers professionally
Process cash, card, MMG, and other payment transactions accurately
Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges according to company policy
Maintain accurate cash drawer balances
Ensure checkout area remains clean and organized
Provide excellent customer service at all times
Stock Clerk Duties
When not assigned to the cashier station, employees will:
Restock shelves, coolers, and display areas
Organize and rotate products using FIFO methods
Check expiration dates and remove damaged or expired items
Assist with receiving and unpacking stock
Maintain the cleanliness of shelves, storage rooms, and work areas
Assist with inventory counts and stock checks
Report low stock items or discrepancies to supervisors
