Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as an Expeditor.

The Expeditor is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the timely flow of material, supplies, equipment, and services required to support organizational operations. The role ensures that purchase orders, deliveries, and supplier commitments are tracked and expedited to prevent delays, maintain operational continuity, and support project and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field. 

  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. 

  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain, inventory control, or a related role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor open purchase orders and delivery schedules to ensure timely fulfillment.

  • Follow up with suppliers regarding order status, shipment dates, and potential delays.

  • Coordinate with the internal department to identify urgent material and service requirements.

  • Track and report outstanding orders, backorders, and suppliers' performance. 

  • Liaise with logistic providers to facilitate the timely transportation and delivery of goods.

  • Resolve delivery issues by coordinating corrective actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate records of order statuses, delivery commitments, and supplier communications. 

  • Prepare and distribute expediting reports to management and relevant departments. 

  • Assist in identifying supply chain risk and recommended solutions to mitigate disruptions.

  • Verify that the required documentation accompanies deliveries and shipments.

  • Support inventory planning by communicating expected delivery dates and delays.

  • Escalate critical supply issues that may impact operational or project schedules.

  • Participate in supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and operational procedures.
