IT Officer

Environmental Management Consultants Inc. (EMC Inc) is seeking an enthusiastic and talented individual to provide first-level support to users, managing computer systems and networks, and aiding in the troubleshooting of hardware and software problems. This position offers the potential for professional growth in a highly regarded working environment.

• An associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified IT Professional.

• A fundamental understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.

• Practical experience in IT.

• Familiarity with operating systems, particularly Windows.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

The IT Officer shall efficiently and effectively carry out the tasks described below:

1.     Offering basic technical support and addressing issues related to servers, computers, software, printers, airline application systems, and networks, under the guidance of technical staff.

2.     Assisting in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, such as desktops, printers, and peripherals.

3.     Conducting routine maintenance and updates to ensure systems remain secure and operate efficiently.

4.     Supporting daily IT tasks, including password resets, software installations, and general inquiries, with assistance from overseas technical staff.

5.     Documenting issues and resolutions to contribute to the knowledge base.

6.     Collaborating with senior IT staff on larger projects as required.

7.     Other tasks as directed by the Finance Director and Managing Director.
