Description

The incumbent will be responsible for carrying out tyre repair jobs according to quality standards to meet customer needs in an efficient and timely manner.

Requirements

  • Governmental Technical Institute certificate in Motor Vehicle Repairs, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Machinery or similar certification

  • Five (5) CXC Subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English A

  • One (1) year experience in a similar role will be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Assess, prepare and repair tyres to the highest standard.

  • Follow proper procedures for the Tyre Workshop to ensure customer satisfaction, high quality and standard record keeping.

  • Ensure safe and secure storage of tyre repair materials and equipment.

  • Liaise with Workshop Supervisor regarding stock levels and order requests when required.

  • Carry out regular stock checks of tyre repair stock.

  • Operate the forklift to carry out loading and offloading of workshop stock.

  • Maintain tyre repair equipment and tools.
