Dump truck drivers transport Aggregates, paving materials, construction supplies, or Dirt to and from various locations. They drive trucks equipped with open beds that allow for the transportation of dirt, rocks, sand, coal, or gravel.
Right hand drive with manual transmission experience and Offroad driving experience will be an asset.
1. High school diploma/ Certification would be an asset.
2. Valid heavy machinery Driver’s License.
3. Clean driving record.
4. A minimum of 3 years’ Proven experience operating a standard dump truck.
5. Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills.
7. Effective communication skills.
1. Transporting crushed rock, sand, and gravel to and from specified locations.
2. Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions.
3. Ensuring that the materials are loaded correctly onto the dump truck.
4. Greasing the dump truck every 5,000 miles.
5. Inspecting the dump truck before and after every trip, which includes checking the oil, gas and water levels as well as the lights and tires.
6. Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries or mechanical faults to management.
7. Performing regular maintenance to ensure that the truck is in good working order.
8. Maintaining accurate driver logs.
9. Complying with all safety rules and regulations.
