Description

The Senior Inventory/Quality Control Clerk is responsible for managing the inventory of Futurecare Pharmacy both in the store and the warehouse. Responsibilities include tracking incoming and outgoing stock, reconciling discrepancies, notifying supervisor of discrepancies, adjusting stock counts and maintaining accurate records. The effective delivery of this role requires the individual to be highly organized and detail oriented, as accuracy and timelines are essential. The Senior Inventory/Quality Control Clerk also monitors reorder points and initiates actions to replenish stocks. This role entails access to confidential and time sensitive material and will be expected to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. To be successful as a Senior Inventory/Quality Control Clerk, this candidate should be prepared and responsive and willing to meet each challenge directly.

 

 

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Certificates in Business Administration or Accounting

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar role.

  • A minimum of five (5) subjects CXC including English and Mathematics

  • Advanced familiarity with inventory management systems and methods

  • Excellent computer and systems knowledge: Strong literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.

  • Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.

  • Database management skills.

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.

  • Ability to receive stocks and/or issue goods.

  • Strong time-management skills and multi-tasking ability.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Aptitude for learning new software and systems.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and understand contracts and agreements.

  • Willingness to work flexible schedule, including extended days, holidays, evenings and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

This position is “hands on” and includes but not limited to the following essential duties:

  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels; processes purchase orders as required; track orders and investigate issues.

  • Obtain estimates and price details from different suppliers to compare costs.

  • Record purchases, maintain database, perform physical count of inventory, and reconcile actual stock count to computer generated reports.

  • Monitor expiration dates and provide timely reports to Management on the expiration age of goods.

  • Perform quality checks on stored inventory and discard inventory that does not meet the Company’s standards.

  • Implement loss prevention programs to prevent theft.

  •  Process and document returns as required following established procedures.

  • Process invoices for payment to suppliers.

  •  Research the accuracy of product details and test new products.

  • Conduct extensive research as may be requested from time to time and comply and summarize information gathered from the research.

  •  Work closely with other team members and support colleagues as may be needed.

  •  Work with sensitive information with absolute discretion in order to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with the company’s privacy policies and regulations.

  •  Ensure that all deadlines are met and readily adapts to changing priorities.

  •  Present a positive and professional image for the organization.

  •  Complete any special assignments or other tasks as assigned from time to time.
