Description

Fernandes Guyana Enterprise is presently looking for an enthusiastic, people-oriented and results-driven individual to fill the position of Sales Manager. The individual will provide strong leadership in directing the sales team, with a view to providing consistent levels of quality products and services to new and existing customers, achieving sales targets and meeting departmental objectives.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

A Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Marketing from a recognized educational institution. 

A minimum of 5 years experience in a managerial capacity, preferebly in a sales and distribution network

Working proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft teams

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to de-escalate and resolve matters quickly

Ability to train, coach, mentor and delegate tasks to subordinates. 

Ability to motivate the team and keep them engaged

Excellent time management skills

Excellent leadership skills

Responsibilities

In detail, the Sales Manager will

  1. establish new sales territories
  2. maintain customer relationship management
  3. monitor product performance
  4. gather marketing intelligence
  5. conduct, organize and participate in events
  6. monitor and continually assess the sales team’s performance
  7. Plan and coordinate training programs for sales staff
  8. Ensure optimal and continued use of the sales tablets by the team
  9. formulate department’s budget and approve expenditures
  10. Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
  11.  Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts
  12. Analyze sales statistics, establish KPIs and submit weekly reports
  13. Project sales and determine the profitability of products and services
  14. Determine discount rates or special pricing plans
  15. Develop plans to acquire new customers or clients through direct sales techniques, business to business marketing visits, etc.
  16. Assign sales territories and set sales quotas
  17. Maintain relationships with distributors and businesses
  18. Undertake sales strategies to maintain competitiveness.
