Description

The Accounts Clerk is responsible for supporting the finance team by performing a range of clerical and administrative tasks. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and assisting with general accounting duties.

Requirements

  • Five (5) Subjects at CXC inclusive of Mathematics, English and Principles of Accounts with at least a Grade II.

  • Pursuing CAT (Certified Accounting Technician

  • At least one year's experience in similar position

Responsibilities

  • Process and record day-to-day financial transactions (e.g., accounts payable and receivable).

  • Issue invoices and receipts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

  • Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries.

  • Maintain and update financial records in the accounting system.

  • Handle petty cash and process employee expense claims.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.

  • File and organize financial documents and records.

  • Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding payments and billing.

  • Perform general administrative and clerical support for the finance department.
