The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and directing the movement of vehicles, personnel, and products to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
Five (5) subjects with passes at CXC/CSEC inclusive of English, Mathematics and EDPM/IT
Ability to function in field as well as office-based environment
Prior work experience in same or similar capacity is highly desirable
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
Attention to details, time management, communication and interpersonal skills
Primary duties:
Schedules and dispatches workers, delivery crew, or service vehicles for the distribution of petroleum products to customers including deliveries, installation, maintenance services and emergency repairs conducted off-site.
Act as communication personnel for emergency or non-emergency calls; transmit messages and track vehicles.
Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance by means of radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule.
Receive Dispatch Orders for products or deliveries, communicate work orders and information to and from work crews and supervisors using telephones or two-way radios.
Arrange for necessary repairs to vehicles in order to adhere to delivery schedules
Converse with customers or supervising personnel in order to address concerns and requests for service or equipment
