Description

Demerara Distillers Limited is seeking applications from interested persons with the requisite license and experience to fill the position of Forklift Operator.

Requirements

  • Tractor license and a minimum of one (1) year experience as a Forklift Operator.

  • Good verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a team setting.

  • Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload materials from vehicles like trucks and trailers.

  • Move stock, often on pallets or in crates, to different locations such as storage areas, production area, and loading trucks.

  • Place materials in correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions, and ensure loads are secure and balanced.

  • Wrap orders for shipment or store and ensure they are complete and accurate. 

  • Perform pre-use inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good working order and identify any need for repairs.
