Preparation of the company's accounts and oversee Accounting Section

Requirements

  • At least five (5) subjects CXC, inclusive Math, English & Accounting.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or ACCA Certified

  • At least five (5) years as an Accountant or Senior position in a large organization.

  • Competent in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline.

  • Good communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide employees in their daily roles in the accouning section.

  • Review and approval of documents request for payments.

  • Analyse cost of sales to sales ratio and investigate variations (using Pivot Table).

  • Balance the inventory conciliation between SAP and DBS (UPC8500).

  • Compute Cores cost of sales from Macro and journalise same.

  • Review and analyse monthly postings (e.g. expenses) are coded to the correct cost center and in the correct period.

  • Compute VAT, prepare and submit VAT return forms to GRA monthly.

  • Prepare and submit VAT claims to GRA where necessary (if amount owed to Macorp is greater than that owed to GRA at the end of six consecutive month).

  • Prepare equipment turnover monthly.

  • Review and approve journals prepared by Finance Clerks.
