Description

The World Trade Centre Georgetown (WTCG), a subsidiary of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) is seeking applications from interested persons for the position of Property Maintenance Technician.

Requirements

  • Certificate or practical training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance (preferred)

  • Two to four years of experience in building, facility, or equipment maintenance

  • Hands-on experience with tools, equipment, and troubleshooting

  • Understanding of generators, pumps, and basic mechanical systems

  • The ability to work flexible hours

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and building systems

  • Support scheduled servicing of HVAC, water systems, elevators, fire safety systems, generators, and pumps

  • Conduct routine inspections, basic repairs, and report faults promptly

  • Inspect and replace lighting and electrical fixtures as required

  • Perform minor repairs, painting, and general building upkeep

  • Support cleaning, building washing, grounds maintenance, and waste management

  • Respond to maintenance requests and escalate issues when necessary
