Payroll Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Clerk to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.

• Minimum of 5 CXC subjects including Mathematics and English

• Prior experience in payroll or accounting would be an asset

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll/accounting software

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines

• Assist with Payroll Processing
  Help gather and verify employee timesheets and attendance records. Support the calculation of hours worked, overtime, and basic deductions. Enter payroll data into payroll spreadsheets.

• Maintain Payroll Records
  Assist in updating and maintaining employee payroll files. Organize and file payroll documents for easy retrieval.

• Respond to Basic Inquiries
  Answer employee questions related to pay slips, timesheets, or leave balances. Escalate more complex issues to senior payroll or HR staff.

• Data Entry and Accuracy
  Ensure accurate and timely data entry. Double-check figures for errors and report inconsistencies.

• Prepare Pay Slips
  Help distribute pay slips to employees.

• Maintain Confidentiality
  Handle employee information with discretion and confidentiality
