The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and controlled environment within the distribution facility. This role ensures the protection of company assets, employees, visitors, and inventory through surveillance, access control, and enforcement of security and safety policies.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous security, military, or law-enforcement experience preferred.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong communication and observational skills.
Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods.
Physically capable of walking, standing, and performing patrols in varying conditions.
Basic computer skills (incident reporting, email, CCTV operation).
Must pass background checks and drug screening per company policy.

12-hour shifts (e.g., 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am); may include weekends and overtime.
Work performed both indoors (warehouse, guard shack) and outdoors (yard, gate areas).
Exposure to warehouse noise, weather conditions, and fast-paced operations.
Monitor and control entry and exit of employees, trucks, and visitors.
Verify authorization badges, credentials, and shipping/receiving documentation.
Conduct vehicle and personal bag checks as required.
Perform regular foot and vehicle patrols of the distribution center, warehouse, yard, and perimeter areas.
Immediately report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.
Respond to alarms, incidents, disturbances, or emergencies promptly and professionally.
Prepare detailed and accurate incident, shift, and inspection reports.
Assist with investigations relating to theft, accidents, or damage to company property.
Assist in emergency procedures such as evacuations, fire drills, or medical emergencies.
Identify and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
Provide courteous assistance to employees, drivers, and visitors.
Offer guidance on security procedures and respond to questions or concerns.
