We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Commercial Manager to lead business development, strategic initiatives, commercial operations, and client relationship management in the dynamic oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the industry, and the ability to develop and execute strategies that drive growth and maximize profitability.
· Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, administration, or a related field.
· Prior experience in a leadership role.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar field.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· Commercial and business acumen.
· Excellent communication skills – both written and oral.
· Skillset to develop and foster relationships with clients, suppliers, and customers.
· Experience working for a logistics company will be an asset. Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
. Business Development & Strategy
Identify and pursue new business opportunities primarily within the oil and gas sector.
Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company’s market share and customer base.
Lead market research to identify trends, competitors and potential clients.
Prepare and present business cases and proposals for potential clients and stakeholders.
Keep abreast with contemporary local and international energy and Oil & Gas contract awards/projects for potential clients and opportunities.
Participate in local and regional conferences and related forums for new business and networking opportunities.
Establish and maintain contact with the Chamber bodies, Conference bodies.
2. Commercial Operations
Manage the full sales cycle, including contract negotiation, pricing strategies and revenue forecasting.
Pursue growth opportunities via tendering and pre-qualification processes, which involves preparation of bids, clarifications and pursuing registrations in key companies to increase potential work.
Develop pricing models and strategies to ensure profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements in all commercial dealings.
Support marketing goals through the creation and maintenance of company marketing documents such as presentations, brochures and support with other marketing activities.
3. Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders in the oil and gas industry.
Act as primary point of contact for high value clients and resolve any escalated issues.
Drive customer satisfaction and retention through effective account management and service delivery.
Advise existing and potential clients on suitable requirements and cost-effective solutions based on their project scopes
4. Collaboration
Collaborate with operations, finance and other departments to ensure alignment on business goals.
