The Security Officer will be rotated on a 12-hour shift system for 7 days per week. The Security Officer position is responsible for the security of personnel, physical assets, and information in both physical and digital form. The individual may be called upon to perform any other duties, for which he/she is deemed competent, as required due to workflow in the laboratory and/or as instructed by line management.
High School Diploma.
At least 5 years’ experience in the field.
Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English.
Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask.
Outstanding customer service skills are essential.
Detail orientated and ability to work very well under pressure.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ensure that the premises and company equipment are secure during and outside of working hours.
Ensure that the employees of the company are protected from security threats during the hours of work and as far as possible, while traversing to and from the company’s premises.
Ensure that access to the company facility is controlled and limited.
Ensure that access to chemicals termed as dangerous by the pesticides and toxins control board are secure and with authorized access to them only.
Communicate with law enforcement agencies in order to implement recommended strategies for security.
Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including requires personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as required by management.
