To review applications, establish appropriate screening protocols, and developing new methodologies and models to assess the financial risk that the company assumes in the course of its transactions with clients.
Diploma in Management, and or Business Administration from a recognized university
Must be computer Literate (Quickbooks Proficiency)
At least 2-3 Years’ Underwriting Insurance Experience
Good Interpersonal Skills
Responsibilities:
Reviewing insurance applications for compliance and adherence
Properly assess clients’ background information and financial status
Liaising with specialists to gather information and opinions
Weight loss exposures and determine underwriting alternatives
Participate in continuing education courses to remain knowledgeable and competitive in the industry
Review insurance claims and terms to determine the amount to be paid out by the company
Decide whether or not to offer insurance
Determine coverage and premiums based on risk assessed
Review quotes for competitive insurance premiums
Negotiate and define the specific terms of insurance policies with brokers or policyholders
Keep detailed records of policies underwritten and decisions made
Balance between mass and homogeneity of risks to achieve predictability of future results
Follow applicable insurance laws
Any other related duties that maybe assigned to you
