As a Merchandiser for our mini marts, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our store locations are well-stocked, visually appealing, and aligned with our company’s sales goals. The Merchandiser is responsible for managing product displays, monitoring inventory levels, and implementing merchandising strategies to optimize sales performance. You will collaborate closely with the Store managers, and suppliers to ensure the right products are available at the right time and in the right quantities. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for retail.
Previous experience in merchandising or retail, preferably within the mini-mart, grocery, or convenience store sector.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to analyze sales data and adjust merchandising strategies accordingly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to lift and arrange stock and move displays.
Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
Product Placement & Display:
Design and set up eye-catching and effective product displays that enhance customer experience and drive sales.
Rotate products regularly to maintain freshness and highlight new or promotional items.
Ensure all shelves are fully stocked and merchandise is always attractively presented.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with store managers and the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment.
Conduct regular inventory checks to identify low-stock items and prevent out-of-stock situations.
Assist in organizing backroom stock and ensure that inventory is stored systematically.
Sales Optimization:
Analyze sales data to identify trends and optimize product placement to boost profitability.
Implement merchandising plans that align with seasonal promotions, sales campaigns, and store objectives.
Collaborate with the marketing department to ensure promotional items are prominently featured and advertised effectively.
Vendor & Supplier Liaison:
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries of products.
Work with suppliers on promotions and merchandising displays to enhance the appeal of products in the store.
Store Standards & Compliance:
Ensure that all displays comply with health and safety regulations, company policies, and branding guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of product displays, shelves, and store areas.
Monitor expiration dates and remove any expired or damaged goods from the shelves.
Customer Interaction:
Provide friendly and efficient customer service by assisting with product inquiries and offering suggestions.
Use customer feedback to improve merchandising strategies and respond to customer needs and preferences.
