Description

The incumbent is responsible for developing technical designs and proposals for the sale and installation of domestic and commercial alternative energy systems. This encompasses supervising the complete process of projects and installations with clients until the final delivery including managing relationships with subcontractors and managing resources to satisfy technical, cost and time requirements of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other related field. Masters Degree will be an asset.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project and Autocad

  • Electrical Installer’s License

  • Valid Driver’s License  – Car & Van

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the energy needs and requirements of clients to prepare designs, proposals and quotations for Photovoltaic Systems and Renewable Energy/Energy Efficient Technologies by making technically sound decisions.

  • Prepare price and revenue budgets for solar PV proposals under development and manage budgets during the implementation of assigned solar PV projects.

  • Provide support with the logistics of materials that are procured for the projects assigned and under construction.

  • Agree on the engineering for each project with the project manager and on any technical solutions for the development of all solar PV projects.

  • Prepare and update work schedules for the installation/project team and management as appropriate.

  • Prepare reports on activities and the status of the steps taken or under development.

  • Manage the relationships with clients and ensure timely communication is always maintained.

  • Train users (clients) on photovoltaic systems.
