Description

Assistant Accountant would assist the Accounting Manager by providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; and preparing reports. Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Documents financial transactions by entering account information.

Requirements

.    Completion of CAT (Pursing ACCA Level 2)

·        5+ years of accounting experience.

·        Knowledge of Accounting Software

·        Familiarity with accounting and finance principles and procedures.

·        Strong discipline in financial management including financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting

·        Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite primarily Excel, Word, and Outlook.

·        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

This position is “hands-on” and includes but is not limited to the following essential duties:

·        Complying with all company, local accounting, and financial regulations.

·        Prepares financial documents such as invoices and enters into the company’s accounting software.

·        Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Senior Management.

·        Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.

·        Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (for example: AP & AR process, GL, bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, etc.)

·        Fixed Assets and inventory accounting analysis and reconciliation.

·        Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities.

·        Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirements, audits, procedures, and forms both statutory and internal.

·        Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
