Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor

The Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and operational efficiency within the stewarding department. To supervise the stewarding team and ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and proper maintenance of kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, and dishwashing facilities in accordance with company standards and hygiene regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training in hospitality or sanitation is an advantage.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen stewarding or a related role.

• Valid Food Handler Certificate.

• Ability to operate industrial dishwashing and cleaning equipment.

• Strong leadership, teamwork, and attention to detail.

• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and workplace safety requirements.

• Supervise and coordinate daily stewarding activities and staff assignments.

• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, floors, and work areas.

• Monitor dishwashing operations and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.

• Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Monitor garbage disposal, waste segregation, and pest prevention practices.

• Ensure adequate availability of cleaning supplies and stewarding equipment.

• Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.

• Train staff on cleaning procedures, safe work practices, and proper equipment handling.

• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, performance, and adherence to workplace policies.

• Report maintenance issues, equipment breakdowns, and safety hazards to management.
