Clearance Clerk Admin

The Clearance Clerk admin is responsible for assisting the clearance department and ensuring all imported vehicles are processed efficiently and in compliance with customs regulations. The role includes monitoring documentation accuracy, and ensuring timely vehicle release.

Requirements:

·         Minimum Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Customs Brokerage, or related field (Degree is an asset).

·         Experience with Asycuda

·         At least 2 years’ experience in customs clearance or import operations.

·         Strong knowledge of customs procedures, documentation, and regulatory requirements.

·         Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

·         Strong leadership and communication skills.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant clearance systems.

·         Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

·         Possess a driver’s license with at least 2 years driving experience (category, MC, MV)

·         Age range above 25 years.

Responsibilities:

·         Ensure accurate preparation and submission of all customs and import documentation.

·         Familiarity with registering vehicles at the license office.

·         Liaise with customs officials, port authorities, shipping companies, and regulatory bodies.

·         Monitor clearance timelines to prevent delays and additional storage or demurrage charges.

·         Verify duties, taxes, and fees are correctly calculated and processed.

·         Provide regular status updates to management and the sales department.

·         Resolve clearance issues, discrepancies, or documentation errors.

·         Train, guide, and evaluate clearance staff performance.

·         Ensure compliance with company SOPs and customs regulations.

·         Maintain organized and accurate departmental records.
