The Stores Clerk will be responsible for the day-to-day management and organization of the company’s stores and inventory. The position involves receiving, recording, storing, and issuing materials, tools, equipment, and supplies while maintaining accurate inventory records.
The Stores Clerk will ensure that stock is properly stored, labeled, and accounted for, conduct regular stock counts, monitor stock levels, and assist with maintaining an efficient and organized stores operation. The role also requires proper documentation of all materials received and issued and coordination with other departments to ensure materials are available when required.
Desired Qualifications, Experience & Skills
CSEC or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in stores, inventory, warehouse, or a similar position is preferred.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with inventory management systems or QuickBooks would be an asset.
Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Honest, reliable, punctual, and responsible.
Physically able to handle and move materials as required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Issue materials and tools to authorized personnel and maintain proper issue records.
Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
Monitor stock levels and report low, damaged, or missing items.
Properly label, organize, and store materials for easy identification and access.
Maintain accurate documentation for all goods received and issued.
Track company tools and equipment issued to employees and projects.
Ensure the stores area is clean, orderly, and properly secured.
Assist with preparing purchase and replenishment requests when stock levels are low.
Verify quantities and descriptions of materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
Maintain proper filing of stores and inventory documentation.
Assist with monthly and periodic inventory reporting.
Follow company procedures for inventory control, safety, and security.
Perform other stores-related duties as assigned by management.
