Description

All Alarm’s Monitoring Operators shall be responsible for ensuring that the patrol officers are equipped with the necessary resources to function in their capacity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior experience in a security or related field preferred.

• Proficiency in various security technologies and software.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

• Valid driver's license.

• Physical ability to sit and monitor security systems for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

v  Log into the Alarms Monitoring system software.

v  Verify that their team is properly equipped with vests, phone, keys and visit logs.

v  Read logbook to be able to action all items in red.

v  Check Alarms software for customers who work ensuring that they close before 9:00 am.

v  Gauge the location of the team.

Processing of alarms

v  Incoming Alarms shall be processed as such:

v  Burglary/ Panic Signals

The alarms operator shall:

v  Accept the alarm on the monitor.

v  Select telephone contact numbers from phone menu.

v  Make immediate contact with the customer or all other available person/s on contact list.

v  The Operator shall identify him/herself to the customer and state the reason for making contact.

Open and close signals

v  Accept the Alarm on the monitor

v  View customer account for instructions and if so instructed, the operator shall contact the customer to confirm the signal received and in most cases a passcode is provided to verify same.
