Quality+ Bakery is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mixer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating mixing equipment and skilled in preparing doughs, batters, and other ingredients essential for baking. As a Mixer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our baked goods meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
High School Diploma or Equivalent: A diploma or equivalent is required.
Culinary Training: Formal culinary training or a background in food science is preferred but not required.
Experience: Previous experience as a mixer in a bakery or similar food production environment is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in operating industrial mixing equipment and a solid understanding of baking ingredients and processes.
Food Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; certification is a plus.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in mixing and adherence to recipe specifications.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ingredient Mixing: Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and production requirements to produce doughs, batters, and other mixtures.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain mixing equipment, including stand mixers, dough processors, and blenders, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
Recipe Adherence: Follow detailed recipes and adjust ingredient quantities as necessary to achieve desired texture and consistency of products.
Quality Control: Monitor the mixing process to ensure that the texture, consistency, and quality of the dough and batter meet the required standards.
Batch Preparation: Prepare and scale batches of dough or batter based on production needs, including scaling ingredients and timing the mixing process.
Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper cleaning of equipment and adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by tracking ingredient usage, reporting shortages, and helping with the ordering and restocking of supplies.
Collaboration: Work closely with other bakery staff to coordinate the mixing process with baking schedules and production demands.
