Pump Attendants

The Pump Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service at the Fuel pump while maintaining accuracy with cash handling. The Pump Attendant will ensure that customers have a smooth and positive experience at the pump.

a. Basic school leaving certificate and at least 1 [one] year prior experience in a similar role

b. Basic computer skills [an asset]

c. Attentive to detail and self-motivated. 

d. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

e. Basic Math skills

f. Basic mechanical skills

g. Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

§ Assist with store opening and closing procedures as required.

§ Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner as they pull up to the fuel pump.

§ Understand Fuel equipment, ensuring safe operations are exercised at the fuel, pumps, dispensers and other equipment

§ Perform math calculations to calculate fuel amounts, prices and totals

§ Processing cash payments and/or credit and debit payments for customers

§ Keep track of fuel sales, fuel inventory and other daily records.

§ Resolve or escalate customer complaints or concerns professionally and courteously.

§ Maintain cleanliness and organization around the fuel pumps and overall gas station. Ensuring free from any obstructions.

§ Promoting sales, example offering drinks and/or snacks at the mini marts

§ Assisting customers with minor vehicular inspection example tire pressure and windscreen cleaning if needed.

Any other duties maybe assigned by the supervisor/ Assistant Branch Manager
