Diesel Mechanic

Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining diesel engines, heavy-duty vehicles, and industrial equipment. The role ensures that all machinery and vehicles operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards.

• Technical certification or training in Diesel Mechanics, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic (heavy-duty equipment preferred).

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

• Practical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in diesel engines and heavy equipment.

• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on trucks, generators, heavy machinery, and plant equipment.

• Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems.

• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.

• Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical drawings to troubleshoot problems.

• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety, quality, and operational standards.

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and parts used.

• Collaborate with supervisors and other technicians to minimize equipment downtime.

• Respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
