Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining diesel engines, heavy-duty vehicles, and industrial equipment. The role ensures that all machinery and vehicles operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards.
Technical certification or training in Diesel Mechanics, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic (heavy-duty equipment preferred).
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Practical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in diesel engines and heavy equipment.
Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on trucks, generators, heavy machinery, and plant equipment.
Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems.
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical drawings to troubleshoot problems.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and parts used.
Collaborate with supervisors and other technicians to minimize equipment downtime.
Respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
