Description

The Jetty Lead/Attendant must have industrial experience and will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient marine and terminal operations, movement of vessels and transfer activities. The role is very hands-on and safety critical.

The job requires you to work 12 hours shifts in rotation (4 days, 4 nights, 4 days off)

Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent (Minimum)

  2. Prior experience in marine, jetty, terminal, or industrial operations is an asset

  3. Strong understanding of safety practices

  4. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and long-shifts.

  5. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

  6. Good communication and teamwork skills

  7. Reliable with strong punctuality and attendance

  8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  9. Strong interpersonal skills with a client-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  1. Assisting with quality checks during tanker discharges and bunkers, including temperature, density, and volume checks.

  2. Inspecting and preparing equipment for discharge operations.

  3. Assisting in vessel mooring and hose connections.

  4. Monitoring discharge operations and maintaining logs.

  5. Conducting pipeline checks during operations.

  6. Conducting hourly flow rate and discharge pressure checks.

  7. Assist with pipeline transfer activities.

  8. Ensuring safety compliance during operations.

  9. Maintain depot cleanliness and good housekeeping practice.

  10. Circulating pre-arrival communication to vessels 12-24 hours before arrival.

  11. Reviewing berthing parameters and clearing vessels for berthing.

  12. Arranging mooring inspections and preparing cargo plans.

  13. Conducting pre-transfer conferences and safety inspections.

  14. Monitoring vessel discharge operations and recording measurements.

  15. Ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with safety protocols.
