The Bond Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of merchandise. This role ensures accurate inventory control, safe work practices, proper handling of goods, and effective coordination with store management and purchasing teams to meet operational and stock demands.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management practices.
• Ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety standards and equipment operation.
• Attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Must be flexible and able to work weekends, overtime, and varying shifts as operational needs require.
• Physically capable of working in a warehouse environment.
• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Assign tasks, set daily priorities, and monitor warehouse staff performance to ensure productivity and accuracy.
• Train new warehouse employees/Porters and provide ongoing coaching and performance guidance.
• Ensure accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damages, and losses in a timely manner.
• Oversee proper handling, storage, and movement of merchandise to prevent damage or spoilage.
• Monitor loading and unloading activities to prevent loss or damage to goods.
• Enforce warehouse safety procedures and ensure proper use of equipment at all times.
• Ensure forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment are used safely and maintained in good working condition.
• Maintain clean, organized, and secure warehouse and bonded areas.
• Coordinate closely with store managers and purchasing teams to meet stock requirements and operational timelines.
• Report maintenance issues, staffing needs, safety concerns, and operational risks to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by management.
