Description

The Breakfast Maker is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality breakfast items in a timely and hygienic manner. The role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and consistency to ensure guests or customers receive fresh, well-prepared breakfast meals according to established standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

  • Certification in food safety (Food handler's Certificate), culinary training is an advantage

  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar role (hotel, café, restaurant, or catering)

  • Good knowledge of breakfast food preparation and basic cooking techniques

  • Ability to work early morning shifts

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and food quality

  • Team player with good communication skills

  • Physically fit and able to stand for lengthy periods

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast menu items

  • Ensure all food is prepared according to standard recipes and portion sizes

  • Set up and maintain the breakfast station before service

  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation at all times

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations

  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations

  • Manage food stock, assist with inventory checks, and minimize wastage

  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and service teams to ensure smooth breakfast operations

  • Handle special dietary requests when required

  • Clean and store equipment properly after service
