OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (LOGISTICS & FREIGHT FORWARDING)

HAB International, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate logistics and freight forwarding operations in Guyana. This role is critical to ensuring efficient cargo movement, compliance, and team performance across air and ocean shipments.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics / freight forwarding

• Customs brokerage experience (mandatory)

• Proven experience clearing cargo at airport and seaport

• Strong working knowledge of ASYCUDA

• Supervisory or team-lead experience

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

• Strong understanding of import/export procedures

• Experience with air and ocean freight operations

• Familiarity with bonded cargo and compliance processes

• Professional, detail-oriented, and reliable

• Supervise daily logistics and freight forwarding operations

• Coordinate and oversee cargo clearance at the airport and seaport

• Ensure compliance with Customs, GRA, and regulatory requirements

• Prepare, review, and submit ASYCUDA entries accurately and timely

• Liaise with Customs, port authorities, airlines, shipping lines, and brokers

• Monitor shipment status and resolve operational issues proactively

• Supervise and guide operations staff, ensuring productivity and accountability

• Ensure proper documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting
