The World Trade Centre Georgetown (WTCG), a subsidiary of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL), is seeking applications from interested persons for the position of Events Coordinator.
Degree in business management, marketing or communications from a recognised university and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role
Experience managing and maintaining business social media platforms would be an asset
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage events from concept through to completion
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
The ability to work flexible hours
Develop and execute marketing initiatives to promote WTCG’s rental spaces and event services
Plan, coordinate, and deliver events from initial concept through to successful execution
Manage event bookings, schedules, vendor relationships, and ongoing client communications
Ensure onsite setup and seamless coordination of event-day operations
Ensure timely and accurate processing of all vendor payments
Manage and maintain WTCG’s social media platforms, including content planning, posting, and audience engagement
Support business development efforts focused on increasing facility usage and revenue generation
