Description

Demerara Distillers Limited and Subsidiaries (DDL), is seeking applications from interested persons for the position of Forklift Operators.  

Requirements

  • Valid tractor licence and a minimum of one (1) year experience

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

  • The ability to work flexible hours

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, stack, and transport raw materials, packaging, and finished soda products

  • Supply production lines with required materials promptly to support uninterrupted operations

  • Load and unload delivery trucks and containers, ensuring proper placement and securing goods

  • Stack and store products in designated warehouse locations in accordance with safety and inventory procedures

  • Conduct daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns
